Youth Registration Form Youth Coaching Application FREE FOOTBALL CLINICS Erwin Parks & Recreation Department is offering FREE FOOTBALL CLINICS. By popular demand, the volunteer football coaches for Erwin Parks and Recreation have added more dates for the free football clinics that have been held throughout the summer. The new clinic dates are Aug. 2, 9 and 16 at 10 a.m. at Erwin Municipal Park. The clinic is free with a signed waiver form. For more information view this FLYER (PDF) EPR Pitch, Hit & Run: Local Competition Erwin Parks & Recreation hosted a free Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition for area youth on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10am at Erwin Municipal Park. Pitch, Hit & Run is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills. Competitors were divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2008 MLB All-Star Game. The individual Pitching, Hitting, and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in each age group at the Local Competition were awarded and will advance to the Sectional Level of Competition to be held in Clinton, NC on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Local Results Age 7/8 Division Overall Champion Age 9/10 Division Overall Champion Age 11/12 Division Overall Champion Age 13/14 Division Overall Champion |
