Erwin Farmer's Market

The Erwin Farmers Market seeks to provide quality produce and goods from local North Carolina farmers and producers to the Erwin and surrounding communities.  Erwin’s Farmers Market is an initiative of the Town of Erwin made possible through the NC Rural Center’s Small Town Economic Prosperity (STEP) Program and the many community volunteers involved in the STEP process, as the Farmers Market is one of many projects made possible by STEP and STEP volunteers.  The Farmers Market is supported by community volunteers, the Erwin Area Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Erwin, and patrons of the Market. 

Located at the Gazebo in Downtown Erwin, the Erwin Farmers Market is central to shops and restaurants within the Downtown area of Erwin.  The Market began operation the last Saturday in May and will continue on a weekly base through September 2011.  In 2012 the Market will likely open sooner in the season.  The Market will be open each Saturday until the last Saturday in September from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Throughout the winter months, the Market will plan to be open one Saturday per month.  Information about the winter schedule will be posted later in the season. 

As the Erwin Farmers Market is new, it is anticipated that more vendors will join the market throughout the season, which will increase the number and types of produce and other offerings to the community.

The Town of Erwin, the Erwin Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Farmers Market Coordinators look forward to seeing the community show its support and are excited about offering locally grown produce, handmade crafts, and home-baked goods to the community.
