WILDERNESS CHALLENGE

Join us on September 9, 2023 for our Annual Erwin Wilderness Challenge! This course will run through the countryside, down the Cape Fear River and into Downtown Erwin.

In 2011, community leaders created the Erwin Wilderness Challenge—an 18-mile kayak/bike/run triathlon. Over 60 participants entered the event, and all proceeds were used to support local airmen at Pope Air Field to attend the “Airman’s Rodeo” in Washington State.
